National Seminar on Solar Energy & Sustainability for Tribal Communities: Policy Roadmap for PM–KUSUM and Mission LiFE for a Greener Future

| The ICSSR sponsored Two-Day National Seminar on “Solar Energy & Sustainability for Tribal Communities: Policy Roadmap for PM–KUSUM and Mission LiFE for a Greener Future” was held on 25–26 September 2025 at ISID, New Delhi. The seminar was organised by Department of Economics, School of Behavioural and Social Sciences, Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies (MRIIRS) in collaboration with ISID and other organisations. The programme was inaugurated by Prof Pardeep Kumar, Pro-Vice Chancellor, MRIIRS; Prof Nagesh Kumar, Director, Institute for Studies in Industrial Development (ISID); and Dr Sili Rout, Deputy Director (Research Division), Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR). The event brought together diverse stakeholders—academia, think tanks, industry partners, and civil society organizations. The seminar’s overarching aim was to explore actionable pathways for integrating renewable energy solutions, particularly solar energy, into the development framework of tribal communities. |
