Internship

ISID has an internship programme for the final year students of Master’s programme in Social Sciences such as M.A. in Economics; M.Sc. in Science Communication; etc.; M.B.A; and L.L.B. Various universities and academic institutions have been approaching ISID for summer internship for 2-3 months duration. Summer training for final year students in some universities is part of the curriculum. Keeping in view of the regular request from institutions, ISID has decided to initiate an internship programme for a period up to three months. During the internship period, the interns are expected to work under the guidance of the faculty members at the Institute and prepare a theme paper on the subject chosen after consultations. Intended interns have to apply through their concerned Departments of the university or institution to Director ISID at [email protected].

ISID PhD Internships 

The ISID PhD Internships mentor and train students in policy-oriented research and analysis being conducted at the institute on strategic interventions to foster structural transformation and industrialisation in developing countries like India. These interventions seek to leverage, among others, global production networks, inward and outward foreign direct investment (FDI) flows, industrial finance, international trade and competitiveness, innovation and technology transfer, infrastructure, micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), industrial clusters, industrial corridors and special economic zones (SEZs), corporate governance to promote industrialization and create decent jobs.  PhD students in Economics, Business Economics, Business Administration, Economic Geography, and related disciplines enrolled in reputed Indian or international universities and research institutes may apply to benefit from specialized databases and expert guidance working with ISID faculty members. The duration of internship varies between 3-6 months and applications can be accepted any time of the year.
