Recruitment of Research Associate for Project on MSMEs

Applications are invited for one Research Associate in a project on MSMEs funded by the Goa Institute of Management (GIM), focusing on Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). This is an excellent opportunity for early-career researchers to contribute to impactful work involving primary and secondary data analysis on MSME dynamics. 

Position Details

• o Role: Research Associate (Full-time, Contractual) 
• o Salary: ₹37,000 per month (consolidated) 
• o Duration: Six months (extendable up to one more year based on performance) 

Eligibility & Desired Qualifications

Essential:

• o Master’s degree in Economics, Statistics, or a related discipline (minimum 55% marks). 
• o Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with proficiency in statistical/econometric software (STATA, R, Python, or SPSS). 
• o Prior research/work experience in MSMEs, industrial development, or firm-level surveys is preferred. 

Preferred:

• o Experience in primary survey design, data collection, and fieldwork coordination.
• o Familiarity with handling large datasets, data cleaning, and econometric analysis.
• o Strong report-writing skills and the ability to present research findings clearly.

Project Scope 

The selected candidate will work on primary and secondary data related to MSMEs, contributing to research design, data analysis, report preparation, and policy recommendations.
