The Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia (ERIA), in collaboration with ISID and the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), conducted the first workshop on India-Japan Partnership for Supply Chain Restructuring and Technology Cooperation on April 26, 2024 in Jakarta. Presentations by ISID, CII, and Japan External Trade Organisation-Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (JETRO/METI) focused on deepening India’s integration into the supply chains of Japanese companies amid the ongoing restructuring of global supply chains. The workshop also discussed the outlines of a proposed pilot study, which is expected to contribute to high-level meetings between India and Japan.
