The roundtable is organized as a side event of the larger International Conference on Water, Energy and Environment Nexus organized at the Ambedkar International Centre, New Delhi, on December 5-6, 2024 by the India Water Foundation in collaboration with the UNESCAP and three Ministries of the Government of India.
The roundtable examined India’s evolving policy landscape for green industrial transition and the challenges, opportunities, and pathways to accelerate the transition to clean industrial transition by bringing together senior experts from policy think-tanks and the UN agencies for brainstorming. The program was moderated by Prof Nagesh Kumar, Director, ISID. Speakers at the roundtable included Mr Karthik Ganesan, Director, Strategic Partnerships, CEEW; Mr Shikhar Jain, Executive Director (Sustainability), CII; Mr Debajit Das, National Project Coordinator, UNIDO India; Mr Jatin Mathur, CLASP (Collaborative Labeling and Appliance Standards Program) and E4A (Efficiency for Access). This was followed by discussion by Dr Anjali Tandon, Associate Professor, ISID who also coordinated the session. |
