Dr. Sangeeta Ghosh
Dr. Sangeeta Ghosh is currently working as Assistant Professor at the Institute for Studies in Industrial Development (ISID), New Delhi. She has a Ph.D. in Economics from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. Her doctoral thesis looked into the industrialization process in India, studied the clustering patterns of industrial activity, and examined the role of agglomeration economies and industrial policy in determining industrial outcomes. Her M.Phil. looked at subcontracting practices in organized manufacturing sector. Her research interests include political economy of development, industrialization, regional development, informal economy, and issues related to labour and employment. Prior to ISID, she has worked as Assistant Editor at Economic & Political Weekly, Mumbai.
