Capacity Building Programme on
Issues, Challenges and Prospects for the Indian Industry
for teachers of university departments and colleges

February 16 – March 1, 2022

The Institute for Studies in Industrial Development (ISID), New Delhi invites applications for the two-week Capacity Building Programme on “Issues, Challenges and Prospects for the Indian Industry” to be conducted through online mode. The programme is sponsored by the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), New Delhi and is organised by the ISID, and is a part of ISID activities to commemorate the “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav”.



The objective of the programme is to enhance awareness of the young social science faculty on the potential of industrial development in India and the challenges and opportunities it faces.  The course participants will also gain thorough exposure and improved understanding related to select methods, data sources and software that are increasingly becoming a necessity for active research, and are also being integrated into a more up-to-date teaching curriculum. The programme will be conducted through a series of lectures by eminent resource persons.

The applicants are required to submit an academic curriculum vitae (CV), a brief of 250 words on the area of research interest, and a forwarding letter from the Department/College/Institution. The selection procedure is based on the applications received from various social science disciplines and their research interests.
