Dr T P Bhat is professor at the Institute for Studies in Industrial Development (ISID), New-Delhi. Earlier, he was professor in International Economics at Amity Business School , NOIDA and research consultant to Indian Council for International Economic Relations (ICRIER), New-Delhi. He was economic advisor and Deputy Secretary-General to the Associated Chambers of Commerce of India (ASSOCHAM) for five years. He was in overseeing the activities of the divisions of international affairs, foreign trade, internal trade and distribution, economic affairs, industry, environment and technology. He served in the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), for over 20 years in various capacities including secretary for international affairs and economic affairs including industry and banking. He was also secretary of Joint Business Council (JBC) and Indian segment of International Chamber of Commerce (INC-ICC), Paris. He was closely associated with ICC during the Uruguay Round Trade Negotiations.
Dr Bhat, over the years published several articles various aspects of International trade and industry. He holds PhD in international economics from Jawaharlal Nehru University , New-Delhi and masters degree from Karnataka University, Dharwar.
