The Institute for Studies in Industrial Development (ISID), New Delhi offers a Two-Week Capacity Building Programme on “Industrialization, Corporate Sector and Development” sponsored by the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR) for Faculty of Indian Universities and Colleges. The Programme will be held from 15th to 27th February, 2021. The objective of the proposed programme is to familiarise teachers with contemporary issues on Indian economy with special reference to industrial development and industrialisation issues.
The programme is designed with an interdisciplinary approach in a Special Lectures-cum-Workshop format enabling participants to discuss and debate relevant literature on industrialisation, critically evaluate recent trends and handle datasets, techniques and methods used in contemporary research in industrial development. The content of the programme includes five broad themes: i) industry and market structure; ii) industrial finance, corporate sector and FDI; iii) trade & WTO issues, technology, innovation & IPR, and global integration; iv) political economy of industrialisation; v) research methods, large economic datasets, statistical tools & techniques, e-library training etc.; and vi) Group discussions and presentations.
Candidates who wish to participate in the programme may send their application form along with a write-up of about 250 words on their area of research interest and their Curriculum Vitae.
